The World of Kalibruhn™ is the 3rd longest running FRPG world in existence today!

This world was created by Robert J. Kuntz in 1973 specifically to DM E. Gary Gygax. Many of its parts were later incorporated into the World of Greyhawk™ in various forms, such as Xaene (or Zayene) the Mad Wizard, who begins his history in Kalibruhn but is later noted as being a sorcerer of the Wild Coast, as recorded in Rob Kuntz's RED Book©. Mordenkainen's PC as played by Gary Gygax was in fact a World of Kalibruhn character first, and was later transfered to the World of Greyhawk by Gary. His other PCs, Yrag, Bigby, Riggby and Felnorith, all had their beginnings in World of Kalibruhn.

An early adventure to be undertaken was his battle against the terrible Iron Golem, which is later recounted in WG5, Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure and has recently been updated for DUNGEON™ Magazine's 30th Anniversary issue as Maure Castle, written by Rob Kuntz and Gary Gygax. That part of the World of Greyhawk, which was initially the World of Kalibruhn, is still being updated by Rob Kuntz as adventure installments for DUNGEON Magazine, expanding in concept what had been visualized for it as far back as 1973.

Many of Gary's adventures as described in DRAGON™ Magazine's "Up on a Soapbox" articles are in fact recounted Kalibruhn tales, wherein he adventured into the depths of Castle El Raja Key, or cheated death on the outdoor, or traveled to other related realms created by Rob's imagination, such as the “Lost City of the Elders,” of which garden of the Plantmaster is part.

Greyhawk is a trademark owned by Wizards of the Coast.
